Sunday Worship Gathering - 10:00 am
In-Person Sunday Worship
Whoever you might be, you are welcome to join us Sunday morning. People dress in a variety of ways and you will see anything from flip-flops and jeans to blazers and dress pants. Our church building is really two separate buildings: an older brick church from the Civil War era that houses our nursery and youth group room and a new building next door where we gather for worship and Sunday School. A glass breezeway connects the two.
In this era of slick, big-box churches, we are just the right size. We have enough people to provide a meaningful church community and cover all the bases, but we are still small enough to know everyone’s name. About one hundred and twenty people come every Sunday morning: sometimes more, sometimes less.
We welcome the energy and noise of kids, who always get to choose a toy from the wicker basket by the back door. Our nursery is open all morning and is intended for kids birth through 3 years old. Kids ages 4-11 begin the regular service with us and then leave just before the sermon for age-appropriate lessons and crafts.
A typical Sunday for us starts at 10:00 AM, and we gather for worship in the sanctuary. Our music varies a bit from week to week, depending on our rotation of musicians, but we sing everything from traditional hymns to modern praise music. Our services usually last about one hour.
Our building is barrier-free and open to individuals with accessibility issues.
Online Worship - 10:00 am
There are all kinds of reasons some folks can’t gather every Sunday. We get it. That’s why we livestream our Sunday worship gathering at 10:00 am each week. You can join us in person or online here at Ferry Church.
A Place To Know God
Sundays at Ferry are about connecting with old and new friends, singing together, hearing from scripture, and building relationships with our church community. We want to help you be connected to God in real and meaningful ways. There’s something special about gathering with people to worship together. The only thing missing is you.
